The Éco-quartier program of the City of Montreal aims to educate and implicate citizens in order to improve their quality of life. The services offered are connected to four mandates: waste management, cleanliness, beautification and urban nature.

The éco-quartier has obligatory activities in its mandate as well as other innovative activities. Among these: we have the green patrol and the activities that are connected to their project. A list of stores which recover materials that are hazardous or reusable in Pierrefonds-Roxboro was prepared by the patrollers, this was the case of all the éco-quartiers in Montreal.

Ecological Products
Since its opening, the éco-quartier has proceeded with the sale of several promotional products as well as ecological products that are not harmful to people and the environment. Among these products, we find cleaning products that do not contain components that can harm the environment such as phosphate, formaldehyde, enzymes, NTA, EDTA, chlorine and sodium lauryl sulphate and that are not tested on animals. Some are also hypoallergenic, nontoxic and biodegradable within 28 days. One can find laundry detergent, dishwashing soap and all purpose biotechnological cleaners.
