Lufa Farms built the world’s first commercial rooftop greenhouse with the vision of changing the way the world eats. We partner with local farms who share our belief in responsible agriculture to deliver you baskets of delicious, fresh and local produce every week of the year.

Lufa Farms is unique in that our produce is grown on our urban rooftop farm and harvested the very morning that you receive it. Because we partner with a dozens of family farms, we’re able to offer you a greater variety of produce than would a typical CSA. With Lufa Farms, you also get access to dozens of organic local treats such as granola, maple syrup and jams.

At our farm, we’re committed to using responsible and sustainable agricultural practices. We have chosen to use various hydroponic methods of agriculture in order to minimize our environmental impact, even though these methods are not eligible for organic certification. We place a great deal of importance on how we manage our water and other resources.

That’s why we’ve implemented recirculation systems to reuse all of our irrigation water. The hydroponic methods of cultivation that we’ve chosen allow us to have a completely closed irrigation system and still manage to grow highly nutritious, high quality vegetables year-round, with minimum water and nutrient use.
